Since the 21st century, global energy situation has been undergoing major changes with the development of renewable energy, while fossil energy is still the mainstream. Some unexpected incidents, such as COVID 19 pandemic and Russia's invasion of Ukraine, have impacted on the global energy situation. How should the world, incl. Japan, deal with the current energy situation? For that, it is very important to understand the past situation from data on the production, supply and demand of energy resources.
In this data book, you can find more than 400 tables and figures, which are based on highly reliable global and domestic statistical data. And you can see lots of data on primary energy resources incl. fossil energy and renewable energy, and power generation, GHG etc. These annual data are basically described as general outline or by country, in addition to Japanese domestic data.
